5 Steps of Hitting

Today we are going to talk about the five steps of hitting. First lets talk about why the five steps of hitting are important. The first reason is simple, if you want to become a better baseball player then you have to have the correct steps down. The second reason is an increase in power. I don't know how many times players have so much talent but aren't taught the right things and it all goes in the trash. So lets go through the steps. The first step is the stride. The stride is designed to get our body in motion. The second step is the back knee trigger (or squish the bug). This step is when you decide if you are going to swing at the pitch or if you are going to take the pitch. Next is the slotting of the elbow. This one is easy because once your back knee triggers your elbow should slot right against the side of your ribs. This will help you keep your hands inside of the baseball which in return will help your power numbers explode. The next step is the actual hitting of the baseball. You want to hit the baseball with the proper rythm and no breakage in the swing to put maximum power behind it. The Last step is to flick the wrist. This will give you an extra 15 feet on your swing. That is how you hit a baseball.
